So I decided to try to stop smoking over the weekend. It was a spur of the moment action, but one that has worked out surprisingly well. I bought a disposable one from Wal-Mart called the Mistic traditional. It was not the best tasting thing in the world but what surprised me was the draw and vapor from the e-cig. While not exactly the same it was enough that I did not even open the pack of smokes I also bought at Wal-Mart.

It worked so well that I went ahead and bought a real e-cig starter kit. After looking around online I decided to go with the blu. While I have read some bad reviews online, it seemed worth the risk to spend the money on. The size and weight are very similar and the resistance on the draw is exactly what I was looking for. The cartages are available everywhere and the flavors taste great! And it appears that the empty cartages are pretty easy to refill.

It has only been two days. But I think I can do this. I don’t have cravings and have not felt the need to light up a real smoke. I’m under no illusion that I’m still hooked on the nicotine. But using an e-cig would allow me to slowly change the nicotine content, and slowly wean myself off till I’m smoking the blank cartages.

It’s also a whole lot cheaper. For 20 bucks I have bout enough e-juice to last me for months. So while I’m still hooked on nicotine I’ll definitely be saving massive amounts of money just from not buying analogue smokes.

Wish me luck!

The Revised Romeo and Juliet

On the World of God’s Grove, in the year 102 .There lives two species of Applebirds descents of the old earth Applebird; But instead of being stupid birds, they actually rule the World of God’s Grove and are as sentient as us humans are. These two species of applebirds are actually really religious. They both believed in the Great Treeship, and of course both species have their different views; which have turned slowly into civil war. This is just the back story of this tragic fairytale between the two races of Applebirds.

One race called themselves the Volatiles, a warmongering race of Applebirds that views the Great Treeship as an ancient warship that delivered them to The World of God’s Grove to destroy it and make the world burn. The opposition calls themselves the Staples. This race is the most peaceful of the evolved Applebirds. This group follows their religion of thinking that the Great Treeship came to help them escape from the tortures of Earth.

The Story starts off by introducing, Rome ,an Applebird of the Volatiles and a soldier of the E540 task force, while on break in the city of Goldsboro. Rome goes to his favorite trough in search of a good meal; instead runs into an event that will change his life forever. He runs into a small band of 3 to 5 Staple commandos. While trying to hide, because he was unarmed, He found a great spot behind the restaurant.”I’ve got to get away” running frantically he gets lost inside the city, trying to find any landmarks, he is unsuccessful. Tired of wondering around for hours, he finally decides to ask for directions.

While Rome is asking around for directions, Jewel a staple hen was the most beautiful of all the other hens in the city God’s Grove, every rooster in the city wanted a chance to meet Jewel. Every suitor who tired to ask her hand was dismissed and by the time she was 15 every staple rooster in the city had asked to marry her. Finding herself alone, she would walk into the volatiles sector and disguise herself as a volatile hen and try to find friends among the volatiles but finding no success went back to her coop in the morning. But on this morning she was walking towards government house where the ruling Alphas rule over the whole city. Sitting in the massive square in front of the Government house she watches the city around her.

Rome makes his way to the Great square, by the help from a fellow officer. once there Rome immediately spotted a beautiful Hen basking in the sun in the middle of the Great Square

instantly amazed by her beauty and falling in love instantly, he totally forgot about getting back to his barracks, getting near her he began to realise that she was staple and not volatile, still enchanted by the Staple hen, he began to say. “hello, fairest hen how art thou?” ,”fine dear soldier, thank you for addressing me in such a fashion.” said jewel “But may I ask, how can a Staple hen be so beautiful?” Just as the last words were spoken, an explosion topples the giant tree in the middle of the square. Confused by the explosion, Rome runs into the government house to find some shelter.

Wondering where to go Jewel decides to run back to her house. While Rome is watching the hen he had just met; run across the square towards the staple sector side of town. “I've got to find out who she is, besides being a staple I know nothing about her.”

The Laws in the City of Poets are quite simple: #1 only travel in the sector you are designated to and government sector, #2 do not kill your fellow citizens, and #3 is to never interact with the other faction. These laws, very general but solidly enforced, are not broken, except in the rarest of events; a murder happens, a stray volatile in staple sector, or a short lived affair between a volatile and staple might happen. In the case of Rome and Jewel their love was the peak of a criminal act. Never before was there an affair between volatiles and staples because of the huge gap in religious and cultural life, and the whole point that it was against the law.

Jewel slowly made her way to staple sector walking by the busy shops where the shop keepers were trying to watch the news on the television. She just overheard one spokesperson saying, “the Attack earlier in The Grand Square was committed by a gang of overly zealous Volatiles killing the Staple tree in the square and killing 20 citizens in the process, this act of terrorism is still being investigated by the city officials.” “I'm glad I wasn’t one of those 20, I hope that kind soldier I met in the square wasn’t behind the attack” said Jewel.

Not knowing where to look for her he found himself becoming obsessive in trying to find her. Even disguising himself and going into Staple sector. Staple sector was very beautiful in that everywhere you turned trees of all the shapes, colors, and sizes brightened up the walls of the shops and cafes. Being the side of town were agriculture is most prominent, this is a surprise because Volatile sector is completely opposite because volatile sector is the center for industrial progress, the sky above the sector is sick with dark clouds and choking smog. Rome was use to the constant coal smelling streets of Volatile sector so when he saw the clear sky and beautiful trees, he was almost choking from the different air. Not having any luck for some time Rome decides to go home for the day.

While walking home, slipping through Allys and corridors he saw a great white house with a great mixture of greens and blues with five pine trees in-circling the house. Still frustrated by not finding out any information he just screamed “O’ fairest Hen where art Thou?” not finding any answer he quickly turns back towards Volatile sector. Wondering where the scream came from Jewel quickly runs to the door, opening the door she sees, the soldier and lovely rooster she had met in the square before the attack, she runs out towards him and screaming “rooster what is your name?” Rome turning around to notice her, says “o fairest my name is Rome, and yours fairest?” “My name dear Rome is Jewel” “as fair as a jewel.” Not thinking, Rome says, “Will the fairest Jewel be with me forever.”surprised by the question she quickly answers; “I would but the Law would never let us be together” “I've got a plan.”

Remembering his Friend Calibri, Who was a fellow soldier and a Tech specialist, together Rome and Calibri both devised a plan that would be using a Shadow Ninja Device that allowed the user to look like a Staple or vice versa. “This was used back before the war” said Calibri, “it uses a group of concentrated mirrors called a magic circle to produce a look-alike picture of what ever faction or design you choose.” “great, thanks Calibri I'd never thank you enough.” Turning away from Calibri, Rome goes to a trough in Staple sector to meet Jewel

Calibri, the fellow soldier and tech specialist happen to be very zealous about his religion so when he was contacted by Rome for help, he was happy to help only, when Rome told him about Jewel. Calibri secretly was raging inside “I'll get him the traitor, by the Great Treeship I won’t see this Sacrilege continue.” Blind by love Rome never suspected a betrayal by his best friend, making his way across Staple sector was much faster and easier with the Shadow Ninja Device. Finally getting to the meeting spot Rome took off the SND and headed for their usual spot in The Poet’s Trough.

Over a month passes by and Jewel and Rome grows restless with the though of Execution, Jewel’s contact in the security police force told her that the perfect time to leave the city was on the day of God’s Grove annual Day of Trees , the only day where the factions interact with each other in government square. “So we’ll leave on The Day of Trees.” “Yeah are you bring the SND with you Rome?”, said jewel “I don’t think we’ll need it anyways there’s going to be an ensemble of Volatiles and Staples there so it will be easy to run through the crowds.” Said Rome.

On the Day of Trees both Rome and Jewel were heading for The Poet’s trough to meet up then gather up needed materials to leave the City of Poets. Just before the city is almost out of view a small flickers from the direction of the city not making an though of it Rome takes Jewel to the next city of Keats where it was rumored to have a free sector where every citizen Volatile or Staple could be together at the same time, this was a good calling to the young couple.

Calibri hearing the disappearances of Jewel Mcfoster and Rome Mars was a wake up call for him, packing his deadly arrangement of weapons he and small group of commandos, go to the city of Keats to find and kill the forbidden couple. Arriving just after night fall the small group of crusaders stayed the night in an Inn. “I just got a call from my contact that your friend Calibri and a small group of soldiers left the city to find us, I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” Said Jewel

“well I’ve still got the SND with us even if we weren't going to use it, we could use it to hide.” “but they’ll keep searching didn’t you know this Calibri?” “Yeah i thought he was on our side though” “did you not stop and think about his religious status in the Volatiles?” “I guess not but lets just hide in your Grandhen’s house til all this blows over.

Waiting was not Calibri’s Strong suit so he was not patient in interrogating anyone he could for information. Not any luck in finding a Volatile and Staple couple in Keats because that was how it was, The Free Sector was open to both factions. Tired of waiting and with no luck in killing Rome and Jewel, Calibri went back to The city of Poets and killed himself for helping a traitor. Rome and Jewel finally went out of hiding found a nice place near the government sector of Keats and Lived out there lives in happiness and without fear from Execution.
