well it’s going. It’s been a bitch to stick with my budget. I have had quite a few incidents where I’ve completely blown the budget but it’s slowly but surely working. It’s hard work and I hope at some point I’ll be working within the budget in a seamless way. It would be so much easier to get on a roll if I had a large savings to start with. But alas I don’t but soon! Muhahahaha

New papercraft project

I've started a new project. I'm trying to build a papercraft model from my favorite video game, Homeworld. It one of the most incredible games ever and stands the test of time rather well. It was released in 1999 and I have played it at Lear once a year since then.

It's been a bitch but I getting through it. I'm a little frustrated at some of the folds needed as I have rather large fingers and often mess up the delicate folds and bends. But I'm hoping that once its all done the over all work will help to hide the mistakes.

I'm really starting to enjoy paper crafting. Its a great hobby if you need a time sink that does not require too much effort other than heaps of patience. I think once I finish this model I may make another one using the skills I've learned and really take my time to make it good. Like coloring the cut edges and the flaps that get glued. I'm excited!

So after the failure that was little nemo I decided to do an even simpler papercraft project a Borg cube. It turned out slightly better than nemo.

I have decided to get a new hobby. I spend way too much time behind a monitor. I needed this new hobby to take up a lot of time and to really challenge me and most importantly it needed to be cheap as hell. After doing some google searches I eventually gave up and started to browse reddit. And the I saw it! Some one had made a papercraft big sister from bioshock 2. It's absolutely beautiful.

It's cheap to build and the biggest investment was time. I have hit gold I thought. So I scoured the web looking for easy papercraft models. I found a little nemo one that was intended for elementary school kids. So I printed it off and busted out my trusty exacto knife and a glue stick and went to work....

Well let's just say I am going to have to practice for awhile before I attempt some complicated as the big sister one.

I present to you Nemo's retarded cousin, I suspect that he has been mistaking paint chips as fish food 0_o
